Comment est définie la viscosité :
- La fluidité à froid (valeur avant le W de Winter) : plus l'indice est proche de 0, plus l'huile reste fluide à basse température et donc plus le démarrage à froid est facilité.
- La performance à chaud : plus le nombre est élevé, plus l'huile sera visqueuse à chaud.
